Meet Hamlet

Hamlet is a senior male poodle mix with a soft heart, gentle soul, and a quiet way of asking for love that’s impossible to ignore.

He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but it doesn’t take long to see who he really is. Hamlet will slowly come up to you, a little unsure, sometimes even nervous peeing as he tries to say hello—but once you bend down, he melts into you, wrapping you in the sweetest little hug. It’s his way of asking, “Are you safe? Can I trust you?”

And once he does… he’s yours.

Hamlet is incredibly people-oriented and just wants to be close. He forms connections quickly and seeks comfort from his person, while still doing well with other dogs. He has been kenneled with another dog and has done great, showing he can coexist peacefully with canine friends.

He is smaller than he appears in photos, likely a moyen-sized poodle mix, and currently on the thin side. Now that he’s shaved down, you can see he could use some good meals and care—but that just means there’s more room for him to fill out and thrive in a loving home.

Hamlet is not fully house trained yet and will need patience, routine, and understanding as he adjusts. But what he lacks in polish, he makes up for in pure heart.

This is a dog who doesn’t need perfection.

He needs kindness. Safety. Someone willing to meet him where he is and show him what it feels like to truly be home.

Adoption Fee: $250

We are located in Fosters, AL and can transport North to an adopter for an additional $200. We make stops in CT, PA, VT and anywhere along our route!
