Penelope - German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Detroit, Michigan

When we went out to rescue Penelope, she was stuck in a fence. It was a stressful situation for an 8 month old puppy, to say the least! After taking a moment to get acclimated at our shelter, we are excited to report that Penelope has made four friends of very different temperaments. She is an extremely dog social girl! No matter if your dog is old and aloof, or young and silly Penelope will likely be compatible! That said, Penelope is a high energy girl who NEEDS a fenced yard, a kiddie pool and tailored play sessions followed by structured training, every day. Dogs with this high of a drive gets destructive if not worked with. BUT... Penelope is magic! Young, fun and highly trainable- she is your perfect new bestie!



Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
