DESCRIPTION
Some dogs want to be the center of attention, Lars just wants to be near you. Lars is happiest just sharing the same space. He doesn’t demand much—he simply enjoys knowing his favorite person is nearby. This handsome young Chow mix has so much to offer. We think he would do great with a retiree or a work from home family. He loves people, seems non-reactive around other dogs and has done well with kids. Lars is completely potty trained! He walks beautifully on a leash and is mostly quiet and rarely barks. He enjoys a walk but honestly is pretty mellow and enjoys just lounging with his people. Like many dogs who have experienced change, Lars is still working through some separation anxiety. The good news is that once he settles into a routine, he relaxes significantly. Could you be this sweet ball of fluffs second chance?

Please share Lars’s story. We know there’s someone out there looking for a calm, faithful best friend—and we think Lars has been waiting for them all along.
ABOUT: CHOW CHOW DOG BREED
The Chow Chow, a distinctive breed known for its lion like mane and unique blue black tongue, originated in China over 2,000 years ago. These aloof yet loyal dogs are known for their independent nature, dignified demeanor, and protective instincts. Chow Chows require early socialization and training to thrive in a family setting, as they can be stubborn and territorial. With a dense double coat that requires regular grooming and a history as ancient guardians and hunting companions, the Chow Chow remains a fascinating and enigmatic breed in the canine world.
