Bjorn - German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Colorado Springs, Colorado

I'm a little shy at first, but a whole lot of lap dog once I trust you.

I'm a shy German Shepherd who just hasn't been given the right home to truly thrive in. I'm smart, sweet, and have so much love to give-I just need a little time to warm up and learn that you're my person. Once I trust you, get ready... because I don't really understand the concept of personal space! I'd much rather be right beside you, soaking up all the love and cuddles.

General Socialization Notes:
I already know sit, and I'm working on becoming more confident and comfortable on the leash during walks. I'm a smart boy and a quick learner, so with patience and consistency, I know I'll continue to make great progress. What I really need is someone who understands that I may need a little extra time and patience. I'm looking for a person who is willing to help me learn that the world isn't so scary and show me that I'll be safe.

Does Bjorn like other animals?
I absolutely love other dogs, and having a confident canine friend around helps me feel safe and brings out my confidence. I don't know how I feel about other animals as I have not been around them.

Does Bjorn like children?
I have been around kids from 8 months old to 8 years old. If they move too quickly and don't let me warm up to them I may run and try and get away. I am okay as long as they give me space. I do love when they give me snacks though so we can become friends.

Favorite Toys:
I love to play fetch!

Ideal Forever Home:
I'd love a patient understanding home with another dog to show me the ropes. I would prefer a yard so that I don't have to walk on a leash to potty. I just need a family willing to see all the love I can give!
