Bonnie is a beautiful young shepherd who came to the shelter through no fault of her own. Like many shepherds, she is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and eager to form a deep bond with her person. Bonnie is truly a large baby at heart, complete with the classic shepherd anxiety and sensitivity. She’s looking for a patient and understanding home that recognizes the commitment involved in raising and guiding a young dog. She will thrive with a family willing to provide structure, reassurance, and consistency as she continues to build confidence. Her ideal home will understand the importance of proper nutrition, regular veterinary care, mental enrichment, and daily physical exercise. Most importantly, Bonnie needs a family ready to shower her with all the love and security she deserves.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
