Double the Love: A Sweet Mother-Daughter Frenchie Duo!
Hennessy and mom Helen.
Meet this unbelievably sweet mother-daughter duo of French Bulldogs! These two lovely ladies came to rescue as owner surrenders, and they are ready to find a home where they can be spoiled with all the love, cuddles, and affection their hearts desire.
These girls are the sweetest things ever! They get along beautifully and love spending time with their people. If your idea of a perfect evening is settling in on the couch with two adorable Frenchies snuggled up beside you, these girls might just be your perfect match! They love being held, petted, and showered with attention.
Don't let their love of cuddles fool you, though! These girls have a playful side, too. Give them some dog toys or tennis balls, and they're happy to enjoy playtime with their favorite toys!
Both girls are leash-walking, potty-trained, and kennel-trained, making them wonderful candidates for a smooth transition into their new home. I've also been told they do well with children, although this has not been personally verified in their foster home.
Our preference is for these two sweet girls to be adopted together. There is something extra special about keeping this mother-daughter pair together so they can continue sharing life's little moments side by side.
Important Information for Potential Frenchie Adopters
French Bulldogs are wonderful, affectionate companions, but they also come with special care requirements that every potential adopter should understand before committing to the breed.
Veterinary care and expenses: French Bulldogs can be prone to a variety of health concerns, including breathing difficulties, spinal problems, skin allergies, eye conditions, and heat intolerance. Even if a Frenchie seems healthy today, medical issues can develop later in life. Veterinary care, diagnostics, and potential treatment or surgery can be expensive, so adopters should be financially prepared for both routine care and unexpected medical expenses.
Temperature regulation and breathing: French Bulldogs are a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, which means they can have difficulty breathing efficiently and cooling themselves. They need a temperature-controlled indoor environment and careful supervision whenever they are outdoors, particularly during hot or humid weather. Cold weather also requires precautions and limited exposure when conditions are uncomfortable or unsafe.
Exercise and playtime: Walks and play should be kept moderate and adjusted to each dog's individual needs and the weather. Avoid strenuous activity, especially in warm or humid conditions, and always provide access to fresh water and a cool place to rest. Heavy panting, unusually labored or noisy breathing, excessive drooling, weakness, or distress should never be dismissed as normal for a Frenchie. These can be signs of overheating or breathing difficulty. Stop activity immediately and seek veterinary guidance; suspected heatstroke or significant breathing distress requires emergency veterinary care.
Please do your research before adopting! We want these girls to find a loving home that understands the breed and is prepared to meet their needs throughout their lives. French Bulldogs can bring an incredible amount of love and joy to a family, and responsible ownership means being prepared for their unique care requirements, too.
