Ava - Maltese and Shih Tzu Dog for Adoption in Rochester, Minnesota

Meet Tiny Ava

At just 4.7 pounds, Ava the sweetest, tiny little girl who is happiest curled up in your lap or following her person from room to room. She truly wants to be wherever you are and would love a home where she can be your constant companion.

Ava never barks, is friendly with everyone she meets, and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids. She is leash trained and kennel trained, and she does very well with potty training when taken outside on a consistent schedule. At night, she would be delighted to snuggle up and sleep in bed with you.

When Ava came into rescue, she was very matted and needed to be shaved for her comfort. Her coat will grow back beautifully, but she will need regular grooming to keep it healthy and mat-free.

Car rides make her a little nervous, so she will appreciate some patience and reassurance while she gets more comfortable traveling. She wants to sit on your lap.

Ava is looking for someone who will treasure her, include her in their everyday life, and give her all the love and attention she deserves. If you're looking for a tiny, quiet, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Ava could be the perfect little girl for you.

Ava was spayed and had a dental with many extractions. She now has 2 teeth. She will be feeling great soon and will need soft food until her mouth recovers.
