Meet Minnie! Minnie is about 3.5 years old and a petite-sized girl weighing just over 30 lbs. She came to rescue after spending her life outdoors in a rural area without the care and comfort every dog deserves. Despite that beginning, she arrived with the sweetest heart, just a little shy and unsure of the world. Minnie has now blossomed into a gentle, easygoing girl who truly enjoys the comforts of home — especially cozy beds, a soft place to relax, and the company of other dogs.
She gets along wonderfully with her canine foster siblings. Minnie is happy to be the calm presence in the pack and doesn’t need to be the center of attention to be content. She's the kind of girl who will quietly settle in nearby and simply enjoy being part of the family.
As for cats and kids... Minnie hasn't shown much interest in the cats she's encountered so far. We can do more assessing if needed to see if she can join a feline friendly home. We can also do more assessing based on the age of your children if applicable. She's been fine with older dog-savvy kids.
Like many dogs adjusting to a new life, Minnie will need a patient home willing to give her time to settle in and feel secure. A secure fenced yard is important, as she may try to wander, especially while adjusting to yet another new environment. Once she knows she’s safe, she relaxes beautifully and simply enjoys being part of the household.
Minnie is the definition of an underdog — the quiet one who hasn’t always had someone in her corner, but who still chooses sweetness and trust. She doesn't ask for much, just a safe place, a little patience, and someone who will finally make her part of the family. Could you be Minnie's next chapter... and the one where she finally gets the happy ending she deserves? Apply to adopt at the link below.
