Meet Oliver!

Some puppies are special, and then there’s Oliver. This amazing 4 month old boy was found as a little one in rough shape, but he’s come such a long way. He’s learning what it means to be safe, loved, and truly treasured. Now he’s ready for his next big adventure: finding a forever family!

Let’s start with the obvious: Oliver is awesome. We’ve already said that, but it’s worth repeating. For such a young puppy, he has an incredible personality. He’s attentive, a good listener, and VERY trainable. He wants to learn, and he’s already showing what a wonderful little companion he’s going to be.

Oliver loves spending time in the backyard, whether he’s chasing a toy or proudly chewing on a prized stick he’s discovered. He’s a gentle boy who isn’t an overly rough player, and when playtime is over, he’s ready to snuggle! This boy is a HUGE cuddler and incredibly affectionate. In fact, we’re making it official: a home where dogs are allowed on the furniture is a must. Oliver fully intends to be part of your couch, your blankets, and your daily cuddle routine.

He’s also doing fantastic with potty training! Of course, moving to a new home can mean a few accidents while he adjusts, but he’s picked up routines quickly in his foster home, and we expect him to do the same with his new family. He's good with dogs, kids, and probably young enough to integrate with a house with cats... we can do more assessing if needed.

Oliver has made wonderful progress with his health too. One thing potential adopters should know is that a slight heart murmur was detected during his initial veterinary visits. Some puppy murmurs resolve as a puppy grows, and Oliver will be reassessed at his upcoming neuter appointment. His future family will need to be comfortable with this finding and willing to follow any veterinary recommendations for monitoring or further evaluation.

Oliver is expected to be ready to travel to his forever home by mid-November. He’s already proven what a special little guy he is, and we can’t wait for him to experience the joy of having a family who will cherish him for the rest of his life.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $450 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped. NOTE: We cannot guarantee breed mix or full grown size. Both are estimates based on physical characteristics and any known history.
