Meet Pax, a 70 lb Olde English Bulldog who would love to be your new best friend!

About me: I am an energetic, affectionate, and athletic boy who loves to play with balls and squeaky toys. I am super fun to play with but when playtime is over I love to chill out and be a couch potato with my person. I am still decompressing from being in the shelter, and when I'm feeling anxious or nervous I tend to get high-energy and a bit amped, so my ideal home would be quieter, with someone who is patient, calm and consistent. Someone who works from home or is home a lot would be ideal. I will follow my person from room to room and nap or politely watch what they are doing. I am housebroken and trustworthy around the house. I also know how to sit and shake on command. I am a smart, treat-motivated boy who will learn lots of things quickly with consistent training.

My ideal home would have a large fenced backyard where I can play fetch and sunbathe. I am still a bit anxious on walks, so I will need some practice with walking calmly and my leash skills. I have lived with kids and enjoy them once I have gotten to know them, but I need slow introductions and would do best in a house with no kids or older16+, dog-experienced kids. According to the shelter, I get along with other dogs but haven't seen other dogs in my foster home. I am doing a good job of learning how to act around a cat (I mostly ignore him now), so I may be able to live with cats after a slow introduction.

When I was a pup, I zoomied too hard and tore my MCL, so I had surgery to repair it. It is fixed and I have had no complications from that injury- I run and play normally.
