Meet Rosco Rainier, a 15 lb French Bulldog
Rosco is a little Frenchie with a BIG personality! At 2 years old, this handsome boy is still very much a youngin'-full of energy, curiosity, and excitement. He is incredibly sweet with his people and loves being around his family. He is also very treat-motivated, which will be a huge help as he continues learning all the things a spoiled house dog should know.
Rosco came into being a foster with his brother, and the two are bonded. Because of their history and their close relationship, Rosco's dream home is one where he can stay with his brother. They love playing together, exploring, and keeping each other company.
What My Perfect Home Would Be
My perfect home would be with my brother and a loving family who will give us time, patience, structure, and lots of affection. A home with a securely fenced yard or safe outdoor space would be ideal for me. I'm FAST, so my foster family says a fence is an absolute must!
I'm looking for a family who understands that I'm still learning and is willing to continue working with me on house training, leash manners, and staying calm when exciting things happen.
My Personality
I'm sweet, affectionate, playful, and HIGH energy! I love my people and enjoy spending time with my family. I have a goofy young-Frenchie personality and am always ready to see what is happening next.
I can get very excited when I see other dogs or people while we're out and about. Sometimes I get so excited that my brain seems to leave the building! I'm still learning that I don't need to react to everything I see, and I'll need a family who can patiently help me learn how to stay calm and focused.
I'm a work in progress-but I'm a very lovable one!
Walks & Leash Manners
I'm still learning how to be a polite walking buddy. Seeing other dogs or people while I'm on leash can be challenging for me, and I tend to become overly excited.
My future family should be prepared to continue positive-reinforcement training and work on calm walking, focus, and appropriate greetings. I'm a smart boy and very motivated by treats, so my foster family thinks I have plenty of potential to become a great walking companion with consistency and practice.
House Training
I'm not house trained yet, so my forever family will need to continue working with me on potty training. I'm still learning the routines and expectations of living in a home.
A patient family who can establish a consistent schedule and supervise me closely while I learn will be important.
