Shivers - Dutch Shepherd Dog for Adoption

Meet Shivers, affectionately known as Sweetie Pie! This adorable 5-month-old Dutch Shepherd mix weighs around 30 pounds and is just as sweet as her nickname suggests!

Shivers had a pretty rough start to life. She was adopted from a shelter, only to be returned. With the shelter overcrowded, she unfortunately ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, Barkin Dogs Rescue was able to step in and give this sweet girl another chance. Her leg has healed beautifully, and she’s now enjoying life as a happy, playful puppy!

Shivers is an incredibly friendly girl who loves everyone she meets! She’s kid, dog, and cat friendly and gets along wonderfully with the other animals in her foster home. She’s amazing with dogs of all sizes, from the biggest dogs to the tiniest little ones, and would make a wonderful companion for a home with other pets. She’s full of puppy energy, loves playing with her furry friends, and enjoys spending time outside exploring and going for walks. After a busy day of puppy adventures, she’s usually ready to settle down for the evening around 8 PM.

We would love to see Shivers find an active family who will include her in their everyday adventures and give her plenty of opportunities to play and explore. A fenced yard would be wonderful, and she’d be thrilled to have another dog to play with, although neither is a requirement.

Shivers has already been through more than any puppy should have to experience, but you’d never know it from her happy, loving personality. She’s ready to put her rough start behind her and find a family of her very own!

Adoption Fee: $500

Shivers is fully vetted and ready for adoption! She has received a veterinary exam and has been given a clean bill of health. Her veterinary care includes:

* Spayed
* Up to date on vaccinations
* Fecal tested
* On heartworm and flea/tick prevention
* Microchipped
