Meet Sunny, a two-and-a-half-month-old Doxie/Pit mix weighing six pounds.

Sunny is a sweet little puppy with short legs, a big heart, and an even bigger love for people. He was found on the side of a highway in an overheated tote alongside another dog tied to it. A kind person initially brought them in, and while we were full at the time, we provided resources to help get them safe with rescue partners. Sadly, they were later discovered dumped at a park—but Sunny has held onto his gentle, loving spirit through it all.

Sunny is very affectionate and adores being close to people. He gives wonderful snuggles, enjoys soft attention, and finds comfort in human companionship. While he loves affection, he is a little less brave in new situations and may need some extra reassurance as he learns that the world is a safe place.

With patience, kindness, and a steady routine, Sunny will continue to grow in confidence at his own pace. He’s the kind of puppy who bonds deeply and will happily become your little shadow once he feels secure.
