WOOF! I'm in a foster home. To meet me reach out to my foster caregiver at valann6@hotmail.com
Rocket is a handsome little low-rider with fabulous tall ears that stand at attention, listening for the family who will finally call him their own. At just 13 pounds, he’s the perfect size for any home — easy to scoop up, easy to love, and impossible to resist. For an older gentleman, Rocket has plenty of pep. He enjoys his walks, has a surprising amount of spunk, and can get adorably rambunctious during playtime. A few fun toys will make this precious Dachshund mix very happy. Rocket can be bashful when meeting new people or settling into new places, but all he needs is time, patience, and gentle reassurance. Once he feels safe, his sweet, loving nature shines through — and he is so easy to adore. Meet and adopt Rocket today!
ABOUT: DACHSHUND DOG BREED
The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
