Arwen is a sweet young kitty with adorable freckles on her nose! She isn’t shy and will be the first to greet you at the door and will purr as soon as you scoop her up. Arwen was surrendered to HRA as a new mother with four five-day old kittens. She is a wonderful mama and now that her babies are grown, she’s ready for some attention and love for herself. She would be happy with another cat and would tolerate a friendly dog. Arwen can't wait for a loving home for her playful personality to bloom.

We are DC's only open-access shelter. We are always available to help any animal in the District of Columbia. We have cats, dogs, rabbits, and more available for adoption out of our two shelters and also run the Capital Area Spay and Neuter Center.
