Sloan has settled in beautifully with her foster family and is thriving alongside her canine foster brothers and sisters and is ready to find her forever home! Sloan is a 7 year old, 18 lb, Dachshund mix (our best guess). She is as sweet as she is adorable and has quickly become a favorite in her foster home. Sloan is an easy-going social girl who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love to share her home with a friendly canine playmate. She is an affectionate girl whose absolute favorite place is snuggled up next to her people. Because she prefers a more low-key environment, she is looking for a home with no children under ten years old. Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee

Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.

Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.

Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
