Meet Milly!

Some dogs have a way of making everyone they meet feel loved, and Milly is one of those very special souls. This adorable 3 year old Corgi and maybe dachshund mix weighs about 20 pounds and has the sweetest, most gentle personality you could ever ask for.

Before coming into rescue, Milly was heartbreakingly left behind in an abandoned rental property. Despite everything shes been through, she has never let her past define her. She continues to greet the world with kindness, love, and a heart that still trusts people. Its impossible not to admire her resilience.

Milly has spent the last chapter of her life being an incredible mama to her puppies. She cared for them with so much love and devotion, and now that theyve grown, its finally her turn to be the one whos spoiled, cherished, and loved by a family of her very own.

Milly truly loves everyone she meets. Shes friendly with new people, always happy to receive affection, and will gladly soak up all the love youre willing to give. Shes wonderful with other dogs and still has those nurturing mama instincts—youll often find her lovingly cleaning and caring for the other dogs around her. Shes also great with cats, making her a wonderful fit for many different homes.

This sweet girl is both crate trained and doing an excellent job with house training. Shes still learning to let her family know when she needs to go outside, so taking her out on a regular schedule has worked beautifully and shes been having very few accidents. If she cant make it outside in time, shell thoughtfully use a puppy pad instead.

Milly has overcome more than most dogs ever should. Before coming into rescue, she suffered a leg injury that healed incorrectly. This week shell be having surgery, and shell officially become a tripod. While that may sound like a big change, we truly dont expect it to slow her down one bit. In fact, were confident shell be much more comfortable afterward and able to enjoy life without the discomfort shes been living with. Like so many tripod dogs, we know shell adapt beautifully and continue living life to the fullest.

Milly will be spayed, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, and will come with her health certificate prior to adoption. Now all she needs is the forever family shes been waiting for.
