Hi there! I’m Roy, a 1.5-year-old, 17-pound Corgi/Papillon mix with a gentle heart and a whole lot of love just waiting to come out! I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a little shy when meeting new people. The world can feel like a big, overwhelming place for a little guy like me and I need some time to figure out who I can trust. But please don’t mistake my shyness for a lack of love. Underneath my timid exterior is an incredibly sweet boy who just needs someone willing to give him a chance. I promise there’s something really special waiting on the other side of my nerves!

Once you’ve earned my trust, something wonderful happens. That shy little dog who once kept his distance becomes your most devoted companion! I’ll be your shadow, following you from room to room and wanting nothing more than to be close to the person who made me feel safe. I have medium to low energy, so I’m perfectly happy enjoying a quieter life with someone who appreciates the little things. I’m looking for a patient, understanding family who won’t rush me or expect me to be their best friend overnight. Give me the time and space I need to blossom and I’ll reward you with a kind of loyalty and love that makes every moment of patience worthwhile. Sometimes the dogs who take the longest to trust are the ones who love the deepest.

I’m dog friendly, people friendly once I feel comfortable and can be cat tested upon request! I’ll come fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.
