Meet Jay!

Jay is a 4-month-old, 32-pound Coonhound mix with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and absolutely no idea how big he might grow up to be! This lovable boy is convinced he's a lap dog, and he isn't afraid to prove it. If you're looking for a puppy who will shower you with cuddles, kisses, and plenty of laughs, Jay might just be your guy!

Jay loves to play and roughhouse with other dogs and is great with dogs, cats, and even caged birds! He's not food or toy aggressive and is happy to play with just about anything. Crinkly toys, squeaky toys, and balls are all favorites. He loves chasing balls of all sizes, although bringing them back to you is still a work in progress! He's also a big fan of tug-of-war, whether he's playing with his humans or another four-legged friend.

Like any typical puppy, Jay is curious about the world around him and occasionally thinks socks and shoes are just more toys put there for his entertainment. Puppy-proofing your home is a must! He's sociable, loves people of all ages, and is wonderful with children and adults alike. Be prepared for lots of puppy kisses and a whole lot of attention!

Jay is crate trained and willingly heads into his little "house," especially when there's a small Milk Bone waiting for him. He's also housebroken as long as he's given regular opportunities to go outside. He walks nicely on a leash and loves exploring all the interesting sights and smells around him. He's also a good little car rider!

He's not formally obedience trained just yet, but he already knows how to sit and is a very intelligent, eager-to-learn puppy. He'll thrive with a family willing to continue working on his manners and basic training as he grows.

A fenced yard would be ideal for Jay, giving him a safe place to run, play, explore, and burn off some of that wonderful puppy energy!

Jay is current on all vaccinations and preventatives and is heartworm negative. He's ready to find a family who will embrace all the fun, laughter, puppy kisses, and cuddles that come with adding a young hound to the family.
