Meet Reed!
Reed came into foster care with his five siblings as a tiny 2-week-old bottle baby. He was fed around the clock until he was big enough to successfully wean and start exploring the world on his own.
As a baby, Reed earned himself the nickname “Screaming Johnny” because, well... this boy had A LOT to say! Thankfully, he's grown out of his screaming phase and traded his big opinions for an equally big personality.
Reed has turned out to be the perfect little kitty. He's equal parts loving and independent, giving you the best of both worlds! He loves being held, getting kisses, and sleeping in bed with you, but don't let that fool you into thinking he's a couch potato. During the day, it's PLAYTIME!
You'll find Reed hanging out on the screened-in back porch, climbing a cat tree or scratching post, lounging on the couch, batting cat springs around the house, chasing his foster siblings, or piled up with his kitty friends for a group nap. He's got a little bit of everything going on!
Reed has grown up with cats of all ages, from tiny bottle babies to 15-year-old seniors, and gets along wonderfully with everyone. He's also been raised alongside three big dogs: a 120-lb Great Pyrenees, a 70-lb Lab, and a 70-lb Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix. He's done great with all of them! He's also grown up around children and has been wonderful with them, too.
His favorite things include Churus, cat springs, feather toys, and pretty much anything with a bell in it. And if you look closely, you'll notice the cutest little white patches on his throat, armpits, and belly. Just a little extra something to make an already handsome boy even more adorable!
Reed has spent his whole life surrounded by love, friends, and plenty of playtime, and he's ready to bring all of that into his very own forever home.
Reed isn't just your average kitty. He's your future cuddle buddy, playmate, bedtime companion, and best friend all rolled into one!
Reed is scheduled to be neutered November 20th, but we are now accepting early applications!
Reed is located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast but can be transported to the northeast. His adoption fee is $300.
When Reed's Adoption Application is received, you will be contacted about transport details.
