Chili - Collie and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Hampton, Virginia

Every now and then, life presents you with a math problem.
For example:
Young couple + tiny apartment + one young, energetic dog = "Aww!"
Young couple + tiny apartment + TWO young, energetic dogs = "Whew!"
Young couple + tiny apartment + two young, energetic dogs + surprise baby = "Yikes!"
That's how Nala and Chili came to Animal Aid Society.
Nala and Chili arrived ready to party, but in the sweetest, most respectful way. They're convinced every day is a celebration, but they're also remarkably polite about it. They somehow manage to be bouncy and gentle, playful and snuggly, zoomy and well-mannered. It's a talent. These one-year-old pups are house-trained, eager to please, and the kind of dogs who make you wonder if someone secretly sent them to charm school.
The first thing we do with new dogs is offer toys, because nothing says, "Welcome!" like a mountain of squeaky things.
Chili immediately got to work. He'd sprint to the toy pile, grab one, and proudly bring it to us. Then he'd dash back for another. Honestly, it had strong "little boy presenting his mom with dandelions he found in the yard" energy.
Nala took a different approach. She inspected the toy pile with the concentration of someone shopping for the world's most important avocado. Nothing less than perfection would do. Finally, she found The One, gently picked it up, and brought it over so we could all play together.
Nala and Chili are NOT siblings, and they are NOT a bonded pair. They can absolutely be adopted separately and will do wonderfully.
But...
