Bear - Cocker Spaniel Dog for Adoption in Lacon, Illinois

This is Bear (DOB 6/28/25). He was adopted out as a puppy last fall. The family had a baby and cannot keep up with Bear’s bouncy lifestyle and take care of the newborn. Bear is a delightful adolescent dog. The family is right- he definitely is an active companion, so keep that in mind when you come to visit. However, he also sits at your feet and looks up to you with loving eyes. The surrender papers state that he is good with kids, dogs, and cats along with being crate trained. When you visit, ask to see the surrender notes. Bear is a handsome, springy spaniel and about 25 lbs.

The ARK does vet checks. To speed up the adoption process during open viewing hours, we encourage adopters to bring along copies of their vet records, which would include proof of spay-neuters, up-to-date on vaccines, and proof of heartworm testing and prevention for dogs.
