Teddy is one of those dogs.

This handsome 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix weighs about 40 pounds and has two great loves in life: tennis balls and his people.

Teddy recently lost the only home he had ever known, and for a little while he wasn't sure what to make of the world. But thanks to patience, kindness, and a wonderful foster home, we're seeing the dog Teddy truly is.

And honestly?

He's pretty amazing.

His short term foster family said:

"Teddy is such a sweetheart! He loves to cuddle, play, and go outside. He is potty trained and very well behaved. He would be a great addition to a loving family!"

That's exactly who Teddy is.

He's the dog who will happily follow you around the house. The dog who gets excited when it's time to go outside. The dog who carries toys around like they're priceless treasures. The dog who curls up next to you after a long day and reminds you that life is better with a best friend.

Teddy is house trained, knows basic commands, and has excellent manners. He enjoys playtime but also appreciates a good cuddle session. He's affectionate, loyal, and ready to be part of a family again.

The best thing about Teddy isn't his adorable face or his love of tennis balls.

It's his heart.

Despite everything life has thrown at him, Teddy still chooses love.
