Meet Chocolate

Chocolate and his buddy M&M were dumped in a dangerous area of Jefferson County and left to fend for themselves.

By the time Chocolate made it to safety, his coat was so badly matted that there was no saving it. The kindest thing we could do was shave him down and give him a fresh start.

So before anyone asks...

YES, this naked little cowboy is a doodle.
His dignity may be questionable at the moment, but his hair WILL grow back.

And underneath all those mats was this gorgeous boy with the most incredible amber eyes and a face that could make you forgive just about anything.

Chocolate didnt deserve to be dumped. He didnt deserve to become so matted that his coat had to be removed. But dogs are remarkable—they dont sit around dwelling on what somebody did to them. They just keep hoping the next person will be better.

We intend to make sure Chocolates next person is.

Right now he may look a little less fluffy designer doodle and a little more cowboy who lost a fight with a pair of clippers, but give this boy a little time. That chocolate coat will grow back, and somebody is going to have one STUNNING dog.

Chocolate is safe now.

All he needs is the final piece:

A family who will make sure he never has to wonder where he belongs again.
