Meet Posie!

Posie is a 5 year old Cockapoo weighing approximately 15 pounds who is ready for a fresh start and a family of her very own. This sweet girl has overcome a difficult beginning and is looking for a patient adopter who will help her continue building confidence.

Like many breeder release dogs, Posie spent her life knowing very little beyond a breeding environment. She was never given the opportunity to experience life as a beloved family pet, so many things are still new to her. While she can be shy and nervous at first, its easy to see that she wants affection and enjoys being around people once she feels safe.

Posie absolutely loves other dogs and does wonderfully in her foster home with her canine companions. She gains confidence from them and enjoys spending time with the pack. She has also been around cats and, while she may bark at them occasionally, she has never been aggressive.

Posie sleeps well in her crate at night and enjoys spending her days outdoors with the other dogs when the weather allows. She would do best in a quieter home without young children, where she can adjust gradually and learn that the world isnt such a scary place after all.

Every day, Posie becomes a little braver and a little more trusting. We know that with the right family, she is going to blossom into an incredibly loving companion. She simply needs someone willing to be patient and let her move at her own pace.

Posie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and will receive a health certificate prior to adoption. If youre looking for a sweet soul who deserves a second chance and are willing to help her discover how wonderful family life can be, Posie may be the perfect match.
