Meet Patrick #12, an 8-month-old yellow lab mix who is equal parts heart, wiggle, and endless potential. Weighing in at 46 pounds, this golden-hearted boy is still very much growing. Patrick is the ultimate puppy package—a joyful, bright-eyed blank slate bursting with curiosity, loyalty, and affectionate energy. You can't help but smile when he does a full-body wag just because you walked into the room. He’s the kind of companion who falls in love deeply and instantly, eager to shower his people with boundless devotion. Because he’s young and full of puppy enthusiasm, Patrick is looking for a family ready to guide him as he grows. He is ready to learn everything from basic manners to fun tricks, and with a little patience and positive training, he’s going to make a stellar lifelong family member. His new family needs to realize that a dog this young needs a lot of activity. He also should not be in a home where people are gone all day long & a fenced in yard is preferred. His excitement for life does mean he loves to jump up to greet his favorite humans with enthusiasm; because of his size and bouncy energy, he’d do best in a home with older kids who won't be easily knocked over by his clumsy affection. Patrick gets along with other dogs, though he’s still waiting to learn how he feels about cats, so a feline-free home is best for now.
