No one likes to be judged on first appearances, and Roxie Bae is no exception to that. Typically, I wait a couple days before promoting one of my fosters that comes in on transport. Roxie I have waited just over a week now and I'm so glad I did.

This girl just keeps showing who she really is at heart. At heart, she's a sweet girl looking for a safe place to be. Under that, is a girl that something appears to have happened to at some time.

Here is what Roxie would like you to know about her. If you want to pick her up, please scoop from underneath. Being picked up from under the armpits scares her. If you are going to put a leash on her, let her see the leash. Let her have just a moment to say, "OK - sure, let's do this". Clip her on her harness - not her neck.

So now I've probably scared you off Roxie but hang in there. Once Roxie knows you are good people who only mean well for her - she's a fun little girl. Bright, some energy, LOTS of cuddle time. Likes other dogs.

Roxie attended a very busy, very crowded event this past weekend. She was wonderful. She wanted to meet people. She crawled into the laps of kids. Loved adults. She happily let kids walk her around.

If a home that is interested in Roxie has kids, we would suggest around age 8 and up would be best.
