Dakota Dogwood is a 2-year-old terrier mix that is kind, gentle, and oh so, quiet. Her needs are simple - a soft bed, some cuddle time, and that's it.

Dakota is a heartworm survivor who is now ready for her forever. She has been in her new foster home for a week and the first couple days here she was extremely quiet and, in my opinion, - grieving. She had grown very close to her TX foster mom during her heartworm treatment time and being moved was sad for her.

Within a few days she was asking for a bit of attention and now she sticks where this WI foster mom is and lays quietly. Evening time when the house quiets is when she will politely make it known that she would like some time with you on the couch.

Dakota crates well and knows the routine of going to crate at feeding time. Sleeps quietly overnight. She is potty trained and trustworthy and could be left loose when we are gone but she prefers going in a pen area with another foster she is paired with.

Dakota moves quietly around the many dogs in the home. She has started to sparkle in the last couple days and gets very excited when her foster mom walks in the door from being gone. She will join in the mix of dogs waiting to get a hello.
