Meet Trixie – An Adorable, Smart & Loving Little Girl!

Looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion who will fill your days with love, laughter, and plenty of cuddles? Meet Trixie! This adorable Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier mix is approximately 212–3 years old, weighs just 14 pounds, and has a personality that’s every bit as wonderful as she is cute!

Trixie is a happy, energetic little girl with a big heart. She absolutely loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She’s incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle, and enjoys being close to her humans. Whether she’s playing, learning something new, or snuggling up for some quality time, Trixie just wants to be part of the family!

Trixie isn’t just adorable — she’s one smart cookie! She’s extremely intelligent, attentive, and highly food-motivated, making her a joy to train. In 2023, she completed 10 professional training sessions at Fido’s Finest Dog Trainers, building a wonderful foundation of good manners and obedience.

Trixie is fully house-trained and leash-trained. She’s also kennel-trained, although her current family no longer needs to kennel her.

And here’s something extra special — She completed six agility training sessions and absolutely rocked them! She’s a natural learner who loves a challenge, especially when tasty treats are involved. She would be a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys interactive play, training, and fun activities with their dog.

Trixie has that wonderful combination of high energy and a loving, snuggly personality. She enjoys staying active, playing, and keeping busy, but when it’s time to wind down, she’s an excellent sleeper!

She sleeps peacefully through the night in her own bed, although she’d much prefer to curl up next to her favorite human. After a fun-filled day, there’s nothing Trixie loves more than some cozy cuddle time. She’s truly a little love bug who thrives on affection and companionship! There are no children in her foster home but we think Trixie would do well with older, mature children (10 and older).

Trixie deserves a family who will appreciate her intelligence, playful spirit, and affectionate nature. She’s a wonderful little dog with so much personality and love to share!

Trixie’s ideal home would be with someone who has the time to give her plenty of attention, daily activity, mental stimulation, and, of course, lots of cuddles. She would love a family who enjoys spending time with their dog and making her a part of everyday life.

With her sweet temperament, love for people and other dogs, impressive training background, and irresistible charm, Trixie has all the makings of an amazing lifelong companion.

Trixie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to find her forever home – could that be you? We are accepting applications now.

This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $300.00 adoption donation required.

As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention. Applications will not be considered if one or more of these requirements are not met.
