Meet Chopper, a tiny little guy with a BIG personality!
Chopper came to CRT from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Denton, Texas, where 58 Chihuahuas were seized. Thankfully, those days are behind him, and this adorable little boy has completed his vet work and is now ready to find a loving forever home!
Don’t let his tiny size fool you! Chopper is confident, playful, and likes to be the leader of the pack! He gets along well with other small dogs but prefers to be the one calling the shots. Large dogs, however, are not his cup of tea. Chopper is all puppy! He loves to run, wrestle, tumble, and play! He’s a big fan of toys, especially chew toys, and absolutely LOVES a good game of fetch!
When meeting new people, Chopper can be a little shy and may bark at first, but once he has a chance to settle in, his sweet personality shines through. He enjoys people and should do well in a home with respectful children ages 10 and older.
Chopper is about 1 year old and weighs just 4.5 pounds. This little guy has a lovely white-and-apricot coat, beautiful long legs, and erect ears that give him a charming, distinctive look.

Loves toys, chew toys, fetch, and puppy playtime
Can be shy and bark when meeting new people, but settles down
Working on potty training and doing well
Crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night
Just beginning harness and leash training
Alert and vocal when he hears unfamiliar noises, so apartment living is not recommended
Chopper is looking for a patient, loving family who understands that he’s still a young man and will need continued training, guidance, and plenty of opportunities to burn off that puppy energy!

Chopper is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. Vet work is scheduled to be completed early-October and he will then be ready for adoption.
This Chihuahua is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $300.00 adoption donation required.
As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention. Applications will not be considered if one or more of these requirements are not met.
