Meet Tony! Tony is an adorable Chihuahua puppy with a big personality packed into a tiny body. He loves life and is wanting a forever home to call his own.
Tony was an owner surrender. His original owners had an unwanted litter and did not want to care for him. Thanks to CRT, hes now safe, thriving, and ready for a family to call his own.
Tony is the sweetest pup. He is very shy when meeting new people and needs time to feel safe and build trust. He isnt the kind of dog who will immediately run up for pets or cuddles, and he doesnt enjoy being picked up or held. Instead, Tony prefers to get comfortable on his own terms. Once he settles in, hell choose to come sit beside you on the couch and quietly enjoy your company.
Tony is looking for a patient, experienced adopter who understands that trust cant be rushed. He will need a family willing to let him adjust at his own pace without forcing interactions. In a new environment, he will likely seek the security of his crate until he feels comfortable. With kindness, consistency, and time, Tony continues to make progress every day, and watching his confidence grow is incredibly rewarding.
Tony would be thrilled to have other dogs to play with. (We think he needs another dog in the house to grow up with and learn from.) Tony enjoys playing with toys. He also collects shoes! He does not chew them but he drags his favorite humans shoes to his bed where he will cuddle with them as he naps! Tony is playful, affectionate in his own way, and enjoys being close to his people. At bedtime, he sleeps in bed with his family and loves being part of the pack.
Tony is doing well with potty training as long as hes taken out regularly, and he also uses puppy pads as a backup. He can be vocal when left alone and may cry, so he would do best with a family that can continue helping him build confidence and feel secure.
Tony is about 6 months old and weighs 5.2 pounds. He has beautiful long legs and literally looks like a small deer. He has the cutest ears. Tony is adorable.
Tony would do best in a moderately active home with another small, playful dog and a family who is home regularly. He may bark at unfamiliar noises, so an apartment is not ideal. We believe he would do best with older, respectful children (13+). Tonys a loving little guy who just needs a patient home willing to let him settle in at his own pace. Once he trusts you, hes a fun, sweet companion with lots of love to give.

Corky is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. He is ready for adoption This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $350.00 adoption donation required.
As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention. Applications will not be considered if one or more of these requirements are not met.
