Meet Lola. Lolas enthusiastic, loving personality will capture your heart, and her joy is infectious!

This young girl came from a heartbreaking rescue situation. Lola was one of two very pregnant dogs found living alone in a backyard after their owner had passed away. With no one left to care for them, the two moms (Lola and ChiChi) were rescued just in time. Only a few days later, Lola gave birth to her puppies in the safety of a CRT foster home, where they could finally be cared for and loved.

Lola is a sweet, gentle girl with a laid-back personality and a heart full of love. Shes a true Velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether youre relaxing on the couch or moving around the house. She absolutely adores people and quickly becomes everyones best friend.

This week, Lola met children for the first time in her foster home. She was a little cautious at first, but remained relaxed and happily allowed them to pet her, showing her gentle and thoughtful nature.

Lola is doing wonderfully with her potty habits and is a great listener, making her an easy companion to have around. Shes also starting to discover the fun of toys, and its been a joy watching her playful side emerge.

Like many dogs, Lola cant resist chasing bunnies if she spots one, so a securely fenced yard or attentive leash handling will be important. Speaking of leashes, shes still learning that harnesses and walks arent so scary. Shes currently uncomfortable wearing a harness and being on a leash, but with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, shes already making progress.

While she was nursing her puppies, Lola could be grumpy around other dogs—which is completely normal for a protective mama. Now that shes finished raising her babies, shes settling into this new chapter and continues to show more of her wonderful personality each day.

Lola is about 2 years old and weighs 6.4 pounds. She has a beautiful chocolate brown, tan and white coat. Lola has the most amazing smile that melts our hearts.

If youre looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will happily stick by your side through lifes adventures, Lola may be the perfect match for you. Lola will complete her vet work in mid-July and will be ready for adoption at that time. We are accepting applications now.
