Meet the Grocery Store Puppies!
Most people bring home groceries in a Grocery Outlet bag. These puppies somehow arrived at a shelter in one.
Yes, really.
The Grocery Store Puppies got their adorable market-themed names after being dropped off at a shelter inside a Grocery Outlet bag. Thankfully, their story gets much better from there. DPS scooped them up, and now these five lucky puppies are safe, thriving, and searching for forever homes of their own.
At 9-10 weeks old, these Dachshund mixes (maybe some Beagle in there? Pug?) are as cute as they come. Four of the puppies sport gorgeous light brindle coats that make them look like tiny designer dogs. Then there's Mollie Stone, who appears to have missed the family memo entirely and instead looks like a teeny-tiny pocket Chihuahua (and as the smallest of the group, she's also the spunkiest!). Their parents' identities may remain one of life's great mysteries, but one thing is certain: every single one of them is ridiculously adorable.
Aisle One: Food Lovers
The Grocery Puppies start their mornings between 8:00 and 9:00 AM ready to tackle the important business of being puppies.
The moment they wake up, the wrestling matches begin. Followed by zoomies. Followed by toy theft. Followed by more wrestling.
Breakfast is served around 9:00 AM, lunch between 1:00 and 2:00 PM, and dinner around 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Every puppy comes running the instant food appears because this litter firmly believes that every meal could be the greatest meal of all time.
Between meals, they squeeze in plenty of naps, usually piled together in an adorable puppy heap before waking up refreshed and ready for their next adventure.
Mollie Stone: The Chaos Coordinator
If there's trouble to be found, Mollie Stone has probably already discovered it.
This spirited pint sized little girl is fearless, adventurous, and always looking for something exciting to do. She's often the first puppy to grab a toy, initiate a wrestling match, or investigate an area that may or may not have been intended for puppy exploration.
Mollie has a huge personality packed into a tiny body. She's confident, hilarious, endlessly entertaining, and guaranteed to keep her future family laughing. Life with Mollie Stone will never be boring.
Piggly Wiggly: The Sweetheart Special
Piggly Wiggly is the gentle soul of the family.
She's the most thoughtful and cautious of the bunch, preferring to watch new situations unfold before deciding to join in. Once she's comfortable, however, her affectionate side shines brightly.
