Adoptable small breed puppy alert! At just 12 weeks old, Sylvie is a tiny girl with a whole lot of growing left to do! Her mama Sophie weighs just 10 pounds, and Sylvie is expected to be a bit bigger than her mom at an estimated 15-20 pounds full grown.
Sylvie and her six siblings came into rescue after their mama was saved from living on the streets in over 100-degree temperatures while she was extremely pregnant. Thankfully, these babies were born safely in their foster home, where they've been surrounded by love and care from the very beginning. Now it's Sylvie’s turn to find a family who will love her forever!
Sylvie is everything you would expect from a small breed puppy:
Sassy
Silly
Spunky
Curious about absolutely EVERYTHING!
Sylvie and her siblings spend their days investigating the world around them, wrestling and running together, playing with toys, and exploring outside. They especially enjoy finding leaves and sticks to carry around like their own little treasures. And after a busy day of puppy adventures? It's time to pile into a fluffy dog bed for some serious snuggle-and-nap time.
Sylvie’s favorite things include:
Playing with toys
Wrestling and running with his siblings
Exploring outside and stealing leaves and sticks
Puppy treats
Hugs, snuggles, and belly rubs
Long, cozy naps
What kind of home does Sylvie need?
Sylvie is still a baby, which means she's learning all about the world, including potty training and household manners. She's working hard in her foster home, but her tiny bladder means she currently needs potty breaks every 3–4 hours during the day and once overnight.
Her forever family should be prepared for the time, patience, consistency, and structure that come with raising a puppy. The adorable puppy stage is full of fun, but it also takes commitment to help these little ones grow into well-mannered adult dogs!
Sylvie is a typical Chi who wants to hog all the human attention and shows off her chihuahua sass - she will thrive best in a home that already loves the Chihuahua sass and attitude
With continued training, socialization, and plenty of love, Sylvie has all the potential to grow into a wonderful lifelong companion.
