Adoptable small breed puppy alert! At just 12 weeks old, Silas is a little guy with a whole lot of growing left to do! His mama Sophie weighs just 10 pounds, and Silas is expected to stay weigh around 15-20 pounds full grown.
Silas and his six siblings came into rescue after their mama was saved from living on the streets in over 100-degree temperatures while she was extremely pregnant. Thankfully, these babies were born safely in their foster home, where they've been surrounded by love and care from the very beginning. Now it's Silas’s turn to find a family who will love him forever!
Silas is everything you would expect from a small breed puppy:
Sassy
Silly
Spunky
Curious about absolutely EVERYTHING!
Silas and his siblings spend their days investigating the world around them, wrestling and running together, playing with toys, and exploring outside. They especially enjoy finding leaves and sticks to carry around like their own little treasures. And after a busy day of puppy adventures? It's time to pile into a fluffy dog bed for some serious snuggle-and-nap time.
Silas's favorite things include:
Playing with toys
Wrestling and running with his siblings
Exploring outside and stealing leaves and sticks
Puppy treats
Hugs, snuggles, and belly rubs
Long, cozy naps
What kind of home does Silas need?
Silas is still a baby, which means he's learning all about the world, including potty training and household manners. He's working hard in his foster home, but his tiny bladder means he currently needs potty breaks every 3–4 hours during the day and once overnight.
His forever family should be prepared for the time, patience, consistency, and structure that come with raising a puppy. The adorable puppy stage is full of fun, but it also takes commitment to help these little ones grow into well-mannered adult dogs!
Silas will need a home with another playful, accepting dog. He does well with other small dogs, cats, and dog-savvy children who treat dogs respectfully.
With continued training, socialization, and plenty of love, Sully has all the potential to grow into a wonderful lifelong companion.
A little note about adoption: We are not first come, first served! We carefully review applications to find the very best match for each puppy and their future family. Our goal is a forever home that truly fits both the adopter and the dog.
Silas is neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
Adoption Fee: $250
