Meet Derrick !
This handsome little black Chihuahua is about 2 years old and has come a long way since being found running alone out in the country. Derrick can still be a little timid with new people, but his sweet personality shines brighter every day as he learns the world is a safe place.

He loves playing with toys, chewing on Nyla bones, and having a playful dog buddy around. Derrick has wonderful house manners with zero destructive tendencies, is crate trained, and is almost fully potty trained. Once he feels comfortable, he’s even starting to discover that cuddles are pretty amazing too.

One thing to know about this tiny guy — car rides can upset his tummy a bit, but he makes up for it with his gentle heart and adorable little face.

Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered-if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. If you are adopting a puppy all puppy vaccines are covered as well.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.
