DESCRIPTION
Our little boy Macaroni is READY for a home! He's been waiting so long to finally be picked after his brother was adopted months before him. Recently Mac got the chance to sleepover with one of our staff members and boy did it melt our hearts.
After exploring the house, and a quick sniff around the yard, Macaroni plopped himself in the first cozy seat he could find and slept for hours, and it was the best sleep he's had in months. Then friends came over, and when he puppy dog eyed hard enough, he got a delicious fry.
This was just one day away from the shelter for macaroni, but we want every day to look like this for him. Macaroni is just one year old and he's waited long enough. If you have other dogs, or kids, or just want a companion and someone to keep you active Macaroni is the one for you!
Stop by any time to meet him and to speak with our adoption counselors. Or email foster@lynchburghumane.org if you're interested in giving him a break away from the shelter.
ABOUT: AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER DOG BREED
The American Staffordshire Terrier, also known as the Amstaff, is a medium sized, muscular breed known for its loyalty and courage. Developed in the United States, they are intelligent and affectionate dogs, making them great family companions. With a distinctive short coat and strong build, American Staffordshire Terriers are often misunderstood due to their past as fighting dogs, but they are actually loving and playful pets when raised in a nurturing environment. They thrive on human interaction and are eager to please their owners.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
