Meet Roxy — 7 Pounds of Sweetness
At just 7 pounds, little Roxy may be tiny, but she has an enormous capacity for love.
Roxy is about 3 years old and is learning what it means to feel safe and secure after being rescued from a difficult situation. New people and new experiences can make her a little unsure at first, but give her some time and patience and you'll discover a wonderfully affectionate little dog who wants very much to be close to her people.
Roxy is currently thriving in a supportive foster home and is enrolled in training at Believe in Dog with Stephanie Bennett, where she is learning new skills and building confidence as she makes the transition from shelter dog to beloved companion.
Roxy would be happiest in a quieter, less-busy home with people who will let her settle in at her own pace. She enjoys playing and may do well with another dog who is respectful of her personal space. She has not yet been tested with cats, but her gentle nature suggests that a carefully managed introduction to a dog-savvy cat may be worth exploring.
What Roxy needs most isn't complicated: patience, kindness, security—and someone willing to give her a little time to trust. Once she does, this tiny girl has plenty of affection to give in return.
Roxy is 3 years old, 7 pounds, and 100% sweetheart.
