Igloo - Siberian Husky Dog for Adoption in Carol Stream, Illinois

Meet new girl Igloo who is our newest foster girl. Igloo was found running loose in Chicago during the last heat wave and was in absolutely filthy condition. She was exhausted and hot and dirty and found refuge at Chicago AC after some good Samaritans picked her up. We took her in and got her to the vet for a checkup (all good!) and then our amazing groomer Amanda spent an entire afternoon getting her clean. It took 5 baths but she is gorgeous now.
Igloo was a bit shell shocked when she came to us and needed time to decompress. Now that she is in her routine and realizes humans are good she has become a sweet loving girl who absolutely ADORES other dogs and is a very typical Siberian. But she will take a week or so in her forever home to gain confidence and trust. She appears very young-probably right around 1 year old. She is in a foster home with several other dogs and is doing great. She is protective of her food though, and is a counter surfer so she needs to be fed in her crate. She is crate trained and house trained too.
