Tres - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Fort Collins, Colorado

Meet Tres! The Pocket-sized Snugglebug.

Tres is the tiniest of the three brothers, but don't let his size fool you. This little guy has a special talent for stealing hearts, delivering neck snuggles, and wagging his tail with enough enthusiasm to qualify as a workplace safety hazard. Eye protection is strongly encouraged. You've been warned!

Being the smallest isn't always easy when your brothers are professional wrestlers and personal-space enthusiasts. Tres prefers a little less chaos and a little more cozy, thank you very much. His foster mom even made him a sweater out of a warm sock because this little peanut is always chilly. Unfortunately, his brothers think the sweater strings are the world's greatest tug toys, so fashion has been a bit of a struggle.

Tres is playful and sweet, but the big world can feel pretty overwhelming when you're this tiny. Sometimes, his favorite place is a warm, peaceful bed where he can relax away from all the puppy shenanigans. But when it's just Tres and his human, his personality really begins to shine. He loves to nuzzle into your neck and soak up affection, reminding everyone that the best things really do come in small packages.

Tres will thrive with a family who understands that confidence takes time. He needs patience, gentle encouragement, and a calmer environment where he can feel safe enough to explore, play, and discover just how wonderful he is. He's also working on potty training and does well with puppy pads.

If your idea of a perfect companion is a tiny, sweater-wearing snugglebug who wants to be your personal neck warmer, Tres might be your perfect match. Just remember: his tail comes with a warning label, and his heart comes with no strings attached.

Tres is a 2-month-old mixed breed who was rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and neuter. Tres is also tested with other dogs, cats, and children. He is working on potty and kennel training in foster care. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).

For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772 or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.

Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information about our organization, please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
