UP FOR ADOPTION IN METRO DETROIT: MEET HYACINTH

Curious, clever and absolutely determined to know what everyone is doing at all times.

Hyacinth is officially accepting adoption applications through Help Us, Help Them Dog Rescue and this adorable little busybody is ready to find a forever family of her own.

Hyacinth was born on July 1st and is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. She currently weighs around 5 pounds. She is one of the five girls from our Bridgerton Litter and her mama, Roxy, is approximately 20 pounds.

Because we do not know what dad was, we cannot guarantee Hyacinth’s adult size. She may end up small to medium sized, but as with any mixed breed puppy, there can always be surprises.

Hyacinth is the curious little shadow of the group.

She wants to be involved in EVERYTHING.

If the humans are doing something, she wants to investigate. If the other dogs are playing, she wants in. If there is a toy nearby, she is probably already checking it out.

She loves roaming around with the dogs and humans in her foster home, playing with toys and making sure she never misses a single thing happening around her.

Hyacinth also has a wonderfully mischievous little side. She has been known to sneak a treat or find her way into whatever looks interesting, so life with this girl definitely will not be boring.

But underneath all of that curiosity is an incredibly loving little puppy.

She is loyal, affectionate and happiest when she gets to be right in the middle of whatever her people are doing.

And can we please talk about those ears?!

Apparently Hyacinth has not decided whether she would like to be a floppy-eared puppy or a satellite dish, so she switches it up depending on the day.

Hyacinth has been growing up in foster care alongside her sisters and is finally ready to find a family to call her own.

If you are looking for a sweet, curious little sidekick with plenty of personality who will happily follow you around and supervise your entire life, Hyacinth might just be your girl.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: #NoExceptions

All animals currently living in the home MUST BE:

• Spayed or neutered
• Up to date on vaccines including Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella
• Up to date on a fecal test
• Up to date on a yearly Heartworm Test
• On veterinarian-prescribed Heartworm Prevention year round

ADOPTION INFORMATION

Hyacinth is available for adoption through Help Us, Help Them Dog Rescue based in Ferndale, Michigan.

Adoption Fee: $400

There is also a $100 spay/neuter security deposit that will be reimbursed within 45 days after proof of spay/neuter is provided.

Her adoption fee includes:

• 1st round of DHPP
• Bordetella
• Lepto
• Deworming
• Microchip
• Negative Fecal Test

Hyacinth is currently on flea and tick prevention as well as Heartworm Prevention.

She will be adopted on a mandatory spay/neuter contract and MUST BE FIXED on or before her 6 month birthday.

Before an adoption can be finalized, the prospective adopter must already have a spay/neuter appointment scheduled with their veterinarian.

Failure to have Hyacinth spayed by the required deadline will be handled according to the terms of the signed adoption contract including the rescue’s contractual right to reclaim the puppy.

Hyacinth is currently being fostered within the Metro Detroit area.

We WILL NOT adopt two puppies from the same litter into the same home.
