UP FOR ADOPTION IN METRO DETROIT: MEET DAPHNE

Sweet, cuddly and somehow blessed with ears that deserve their own fan club.

Daphne is officially accepting adoption applications through Help Us, Help Them Dog Rescue and this little lovebug is ready to find a forever family of her own.

Daphne was born on July 1st and is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. She currently weighs around 5 pounds. She is one of the five girls from our Bridgerton Litter and her mama, Roxy, is approximately 20 pounds.

Because we do not know what dad was, we cannot guarantee Daphne’s adult size. She may end up small to medium sized, but as with any mixed breed puppy, there can always be surprises.

Daphne is a total cuddle bug.

She has the sweetest, softest personality and absolutely loves being close to her people. She can go from a rambunctious round of play with her sisters to melting into your lap like she has been waiting all day for that exact moment.

She is affectionate, playful and incredibly lovable.

Daphne enjoys playing with toys, wrestling around with her sisters and doing all of the normal silly puppy things, but once she is ready to settle down, she is more than happy to curl up and soak up some attention.

And then there are those ears.

Some days they flop. Some days they stand straight up. Some days they appear to be having two completely separate conversations. We have stopped trying to understand them.

Daphne has been growing up in foster care alongside her sisters and is now ready to find a family to call her own.

If you are looking for a puppy who can make you laugh one minute and completely melt into your arms the next, Daphne might just be your girl.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: #NoExceptions

All animals currently living in the home MUST BE:

• Spayed or neutered
• Up to date on vaccines including Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella
• Up to date on a fecal test
• Up to date on a yearly Heartworm Test
• On veterinarian-prescribed Heartworm Prevention year round

ADOPTION INFORMATION

Daphne is available for adoption through Help Us, Help Them Dog Rescue based in Ferndale, Michigan.

Adoption Fee: $400

There is also a $100 spay/neuter security deposit that will be reimbursed within 45 days after proof of spay/neuter is provided.

Her adoption fee includes:

• 1st round of DHPP
• Bordetella
• Lepto
• Deworming
• Microchip
• Negative Fecal Test

Daphne is currently on flea and tick prevention as well as Heartworm Prevention.

She will be adopted on a mandatory spay/neuter contract and MUST BE FIXED on or before her 6 month birthday.

Before an adoption can be finalized, the prospective adopter must already have a spay/neuter appointment scheduled with their veterinarian.

Failure to have Daphne spayed by the required deadline will be handled according to the terms of the signed adoption contract including the rescue’s contractual right to reclaim the puppy.

Daphne is currently being fostered within the Metro Detroit area.

We WILL NOT adopt two puppies from the same litter into the same home.
