Pebbles - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Elmwood, Louisiana

Pebbles is a 6-month-old, 10 lb Chihuahua mix with a tender little heart and a gentle start in life. She was rescued from a hoarding situation and is now safely in the care of ARNO, where she is beginning to learn that people can be kind, patient, and loving.

At first, Pebbles can be shy and unsure, but she's already showing steady progress as she settles into safety. With soft voices, gentle handling, and time to adjust, she warms up and starts to seek out affection. Every day she's gaining confidence and learning the routines of a normal, loving home.

Pebbles would do best in a home with another calm, friendly dog to help show her the ropes and remind her what it means to "dog" again. She takes comfort from canine companionship and will likely continue to blossom in a home where she can follow another confident pup's lead.

This sweet girl isn't the bold, instant-confidence type--she's the quiet, slow-blooming kind who rewards patience with deep trust. With love, stability, and a gentle routine, Pebbles is well on her way to becoming a devoted little companion.________________________________________________

**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved. One of ARNO's volunteer adoption counselors will be in contact with you to notify you of your approval status as well as arrange that appointment. Please see the link above to apply.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs:

Puppies under 1 year - $300-$350
Adult dogs (1 - 7 years) - $250
Seniors (8 years and older) - $200
Bulldogs, Standard Poodles and Dachshunds $350


Cats:

Adults (1 year and older) - 1 for $125 / 2 for $200
Kittens (under 1 year) - 1 for $175 / 2 for $225

For all animals that have not been spayed or neutered a $100 deposit will be required in addition to the adoption fee. The deposit is refundable upon completion of the spay / neuter surgery.
