Chihuahua Dogs Available for Adoption in Douglas, Georgia

Hey… I’m Scotty. 🐾

I’m 3 years old, 17 pounds… and I came from a hoarding situation with 13 other Chihuahuas. Life back then wasn’t soft. It wasn’t safe. It wasn’t what a dog’s life is supposed to be.

Somewhere along the way, I learned how to survive…
Even if it meant becoming something I didn’t really want to be…the alpha.

You’ll notice when you look at me that I have one ear that stands tall… the other is always flopped over. Most people will say it gives me character—and I won’t lie, it does make me pretty cute…
But the truth?
That little ear tells a story.
It’s like that because of trauma.

A reminder of where I came from.

And maybe that’s why I need what I need now.

I do love other dogs… I really do. I whine for my brothers and sisters that are getting adopted.
But something is broken in me—when I decide I don’t like a dog, I can be a bully.

It’s not fair to them…I need a home where I’m the only pet.
A safe place where I don’t feel like I have to be “in charge” ever again.

Because with my person?
Oh… that’s where everything changes.

I am gentle.
I am so loving.
I am fiercely loyal.
And I will be the best cuddler you’ve ever had wrapped up next to you.
I will give you my everything.

To lay my head down next to someone who chooses me.
To finally feel safe enough to let go of everything I’ve been holding onto is a dream come true.

✨ Doggie door trained
✨ Crate trained (not my favorite, but I’ll try for you)
✨ Good with cats
✨ Come when called
✨ Fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative & microchipped.

I may only be 17 pounds…
But I will love you with my whole entire heart.

I’ve carried my past long enough.
I’m just hoping someone out there will help me write a softer ending.
