Meep - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Closter, New Jersey

Meep is a 5-year-old long-haired Chihuahua mix who weighs just under 5 pounds. He may be tiny, but this little furball is packed with personality, energy and cuteness.

Meep LOVES being with his person. He’s perfectly happy being carried around and soaking up all the attention he can get. He’s playful, silly and a lot of fun. He also does well with other dogs and is friendly with people and children.

Like many Chihuahuas, Meep tends to pick his favorite person and can become a little protective of them. Because of this, we think he would be happiest in a one or two person adult home with someone who understands and appreciates the Chihuahua personality.

Meep is healthy and is scheduled to be neutered. If you’re looking for a tiny, playful companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Meep may be your guy.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!

2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.

3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)

4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
