Paloma - Chihuahua and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Boerne, Texas

Meet Paloma. She's 3 years old, 16.6 pounds and a Chihuahua mix.

Is she grey? Is she brown? I DON'T KNOW. We've actually argued about this. She's some sort of grey-brown-taupe situation and apparently we're just going with it.

Paloma was found in an oil field with her 7 puppies. Sadly, by the time rescue was found for them, there were only 2 puppies left. They went to a great rescue, and we got mama.

She is the SWEETEST little thing. Super duper submissive and still a little unsure of everything. And I cannot get a decent picture of her with her ears up to save my life. I got a few before she figured out what I was doing and put them away. SHE HAS EARS. I swear.

She's great with kids, cats and every dog she's met. She's housebroken, sleeps in bed with us all night and is just ridiculously easy to have around.

Except for one teeny tiny thing...

She's a ninja.

Until Paloma settles in and realizes she's HOME, she will absolutely look at your fence and think, "Yeah, I can climb that." And she probably can. Once she realizes she's safe and isn't going anywhere, she stops, but initially she needs to be watched outside because girlfriend has some serious skills.

Other than her brief career in competitive fence climbing, she's pretty much perfect.

She's sweet, gentle, quiet, easy and just wants to belong somewhere. After everything this little mama has been through, I cannot WAIT for her to figure out that the scary part of her life is over.

Now she just needs her person.
