DESCRIPTION
Say HI to Ajax
At 6 years old and 14 pounds, Ajax is the perfect little Dachshund blend looking for a fresh start.
His story could have ended very differently, but thanks to a kind Good Samaritan, he's getting the second chance he deserves. Ajax was found wandering the streets, painfully thin, covered in fleas, and with a large gash on his shoulder. After receiving the medical care he needed, he's all stitched up and healing beautifully.
Despite everything he's been through, Ajax has the sweetest, most loving personality. His favorite place is curled up next to his foster mom, soaking up all the cuddles he missed while surviving on his own. At bedtime, he's happiest snuggled in close, dreaming of a future where he'll never have to worry about being alone again.
Ajax is more than ready to leave his street life behind and trade it for a forever home filled with love, soft beds, and people who will cherish him. If you're looking for a loyal little companion who will repay your kindness with endless affection, Ajax is waiting to meet you.
ABOUT: DACHSHUND DOG BREED
The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
