Meet sweet senior girl Nina!
At 14 years young and only 8 pounds, this adorable Chihuahua mix may be a “retirement baby,” but don’t let her age fool you — this little lady still has plenty of spunk left in her! Nina was surrendered locally here in New Hampshire and is now searching for the forever family who will spoil her with all the love, comfort, and cuddles she deserves for the rest of her golden years.
Nina is the definition of a companion dog. Her favorite place in the world is curled up beside her people — especially under the blankets in bed! She absolutely loves to snuggle, give kisses, and soak up attention. Ear rubs are one of her favorite things, and if you stop petting her too soon, she’ll gently nudge your hand for more. She is truly the sweetest little soul.
This easygoing girl enjoys lounging in the sunshine, relaxing by your side, and even going for leisurely walks. She walks nicely on leash and happily goes outside to potty, though she does best with a consistent schedule. If she has access to a fenced yard, she especially enjoys being able to wander around off leash and sunbathe to her heart’s content.
Nina gets along wonderfully with other dogs, both big and small, and coexists peacefully with cats too. She’s crate trained, although she would much rather spend her time cuddled up with her people instead. She’s very well behaved in the home and isn’t known to get into mischief.
Nina will be seeing the vet this week for a wellness check and to determine whether she may need a dental, but she is currently available for pre-adoption and ready to steal someone’s heart.
