IF ONLY WE HAD A CRYSTAL BALL...

Back in December, one of our rescue affiliates in Texas reached out to us about a litter of puppies whose future was hanging in the balance. Someone was planning to have them euthanized simply because they didn't want them anymore.

Thankfully, our affiliate stepped in and saved them. When she asked if Road to Home Rescue could help find them loving forever homes, our answer was immediate:

Absolutely.

We were fortunate to place two of the puppies fairly quickly. The remaining two pups, now known as Luke and Scout, were adopted together into what our affliate believed was a wonderful home in Texas.

Sadly, they weren't.

As much as we try to screen adopters and do everything possible to ensure a good match, sometimes people are not who they present themselves to be. If only we had a crystal ball.

Instead of being cherished family members, Luke and Scout were neglected. They were never properly vetted, and their adopter simply stopped caring. These sweet boys were allowed to roam busy streets where they could have been hit by a car, injured, or killed.

When our affiliate learned what was happening and contacted us, we were heartbroken, angry, and devastated for them.

These boys deserved better.

Thankfully, Luke and Scout are now safe. They have been fully vetted, neutered, and given a second chance at the life they should have had all along.

Now we need your help to find them the happy ending they deserve.

At just 8 months old, Luke and Scout are still babies. They each weigh approximately 45 pounds, love people, do well with other dogs, and have their whole lives ahead of them.

They do NOT need to be adopted together.
They are friendly, loving, and ready to bond with their families.
They simply want a home where they will be loved, protected, and treated like family.

We promised these boys we would never give up on them.
