Meet Delilah!

Delilah is a 3-month-old female Catahoula mix with an adorable personality, a brilliant little mind, and so much love to give! This sweet girl may be deaf, but she certainly doesn’t let that slow her down! She’s a happy, playful, affectionate puppy who’s ready to take on the world and find her forever family.

Delilah’s two favorite things are snuggles and playtime! She absolutely loves running around the backyard, playing with her canine friends, and entertaining herself with her favorite Kong or snuffle mat. And when she’s finished having fun, she’s more than happy to settle in for some cuddles with her favorite people!

Delilah is incredibly friendly and loves everyone she meets. She’s wonderful with kids, adores other dogs, and has a sweet, outgoing personality that makes her such a joy to be around.

And did we mention how SMART she is?! Despite being deaf, Delilah is an incredibly quick learner and is already doing wonderfully with hand signals! She’s proof that dogs don’t need to hear your voice to understand you, bond with you, or become amazing companions.

At just 3 months old, Delilah is already off to a fantastic start with her puppy basics! She’s crate trained, nearly potty trained, and learning hand signals beautifully. Of course, she’s still a puppy and will need continued patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement as she grows.

Being deaf simply means Delilah communicates a little differently! With visual cues, consistent routines, and a family willing to continue her training, she can learn and thrive just like any other dog. Her future family should also be mindful of keeping her safe in securely fenced areas or on leash, since she won’t be able to hear someone calling her or approaching dangers.

At her young age, Delilah has so much potential to adapt to a variety of homes! With proper introductions, continued socialization, and positive experiences, she should do beautifully growing up with dogs, cats, kids, or all of the above.
